Lake Worth Community Development Corporation Community ActivitiesText Box: COMMUNITY CLEAN UPSText Box: Since 2001, the Lake Worth CDC has sponsored more than twenty neighborhood clean up drives. Owner-occupants have been encouraged to beautify their homes. In partnership with the For the Children after school program area children have been given the opportunity to do community service and learn social responsibility. Tree give-aways organized in cooperation with the City of Lake Worth Tree Board have added to the tree canopy in our neighborhoods. Text Box: Text Box: Since 2005, the Lake Worth CDC has formed partnerships with the Beacon Center at Barton Elementary School and For the Children, an after school program, to bring to the community a festival at the end of the school year, which brings hundreds of children and adults together to enjoy a day of music, food and games. COMMUNITY FESTIVALSText Box: Text Box: The Lake Worth CDC is hosting it’s First Annual Outreach Talent Show on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. We will be showcasing talent from throughout the community.
